HOW TO CARE FOR YOUR WOVEN WRAP OR RING SLING
Easy-care fiber blends are truly easy!
BRAND NEW IN BOX? WASH!
Most machine wovens arrive in loom state and must be washed before use to set the weave, preventing thread shifting, shrink to proper size, and also to remove dust from the manufacturing process. Watch them fluff up!
Machine (or hand) wash alone in cold water with liquid detergent that does not contain optical brighteners or with plain water. Do not use bleach or fabric softener. For ring slings, cover the rings with a sock and/or put the whole thing in a pillowcase.
You may tumble dry gently with low heat. However, hanging dry is also great, and it helps preserve the sheen of your carrier. If you tug it taut as it hangs it will dry fairly wrinkle-free.
IRON ... OR NOT
Refer to the care tag for instructions specific to your fiber blend. All-cotton wraps benefit from steam ironing, but many blends should only be ironed on low. Ironing is not necessary to enjoy your carrier.
When not in use store wraps folded flat or rolled. For long-term storage refold periodically to avoid stress on the fibers along the folds and wrap in acid-free paper.
